Introduction

My – and perhaps your – first bun love was pink or white iced buns from the supermarket. Looked like a bun, magically tasted like air and sugar, and the all-important choice – white or pink? My younger sister was convinced the pink ones were strawberry flavoured, but she’s come round to realising they were just sugar-flavoured – as are these beauties below. Please don’t worry if your buns aren’t as regular-shaped as the supermarket kind – they will taste just as good.

all-purpose sweet dough or vegan sweet dough
For the icing:
icing sugar
water
food colouring
